Summer Ends Cat Play
Is this sad or what? Summer-fun is over and it’s time to go back to school. Friends say goodbye, but only for a short time - breaks my heart, because such sweet goodbyes are always difficult but its too cute not to post! Little Smokey will likely recover quickly as he has Gunner to torment!

Cat Fights: New Use For Cans
So our “new cat socializing” phase is progressing. We decided to delay the introducing Zuli to Doofie until Zuli got a “clean bill of health” from our vet. I was unnecessarily fussing about Feline Leukemia because Zuli’s visit to the vet indicated she was “good to go.” She was a real angel. Too bad her […]

Socializing The New Cat
Well, we took the plunge. My husband has been talking about getting a new cat for a couple of weeks now. I’ve resisted. We live with the “perfect cat!” Surely no better cat exists than the “Doof,” but I’m fairly certain you’d disagree. Last week, we had a customer tells us about an abandoned cat. I […]

Found Cat :|: Happy Ending
Earlier this summer, we posted a distressing blog about a customer’s lost cat, Winslow. It was such a sad story. The little guy is very shy. Though a home-remodeling project was carefully planned with Winslow and his brother Harley to be relocated away from a construction area, it didn’t work out that way. When human, […]

Pesky Ants Eating Cat Food
Last month, I was talking to my bug-guy, Bob. He’s friendly and very knowledgeable. I asked him what I could do about the tiny ants (I call Sugar ants, but I have no idea!) getting into Doofie’s dry cat food bowl. I keep a small bowl of food handy for her all the time in our […]

New Cat or Not?
What to do …. what to do. For those who have read some of my previous posts, several weeks ago I decided to retrain our outside-inside kitty, Doofie to be inside only. It’s been a trial for all. She’s very persistent, but that’s what so I love about her! Mornings are the most difficult times […]

Dog’s Chair is Catsplay
Hanging precariously from the top of the chair, is a new member of our extended family, little Smokey. Smokey is my grandson’s new kitty. He came into the family to replace the sad void of Mr. B who by age was developing some significant health problems. I was concerned that Gunner would be too rough […]

Cats Need Exercise, Too!
One day last week, my very independent inside-outside cat, Doofie wandered off. Her mid-day snack sat on the counter for hours waiting for her to show up. It’s not unusual for her to disappear for a brief time, but rarely for the entire afternoon! I had just read an article indicating outside kitties have a […]
