Voter Adopts Abandoned Cat
We went to vote today. There was an unbelievable line! In 30 years of voting, I’ve never seen so many people taking time to vote! A good thing I suppose, but unfortunately the folks working were unprepared for such an onslaught of eager voters. We had only one vote to cast and it took over an hour standing in line! So you may be wandering, what does voting have to do with cat furniture? Ah, I’m glad you asked! I saw quite a few friends there. One was standing in line 2 behind, asked what was keeping me busy these days so I told her about my designer cat furniture website. She said she had a new cat, Beckley, short for blue-eyed-cat-lucky. What a great name for a cat! Anyway, she says Beckley, a young Siamesewas found abandoned in a relative’s backyard; one of a bunch. Unfortunately, the other kitties didn’t survive other than who first ended up in a teen nurturing program. Months later, the program was relocated, leaving Beckley’s future again in doubt. My friend, keeping tabs on Beckley finally talked her family into adopting him and the rest is history. It seems Beckley now rules the household! What a great survival story and a perfect name!
