Outdoor Cats Get Friendly Help
On the front page of today’s paper, was an article about homeless cats. We know they exist; abandoned kittens & puppies. It’s a common problem in ![]()
communities everywhere. Perhaps I’m more sensitive as my cat, Doofie was also abandoned, left by someone who simply moved away. She showed up as an indoor-outdoor cat. Changing her habit was not an option; she has cat furniture both indoors & out. And yes, now she’s spoiled & pampered like every cat should be! In fact with winter here in the high desert of Arizona, she’s promoting the idea of getting some outdoor cat furniture like a Katkabin.
I live in a small town with a military base. Unfortunately military personal tend to get transferred a lot so our stray cat problem is particularly common. Sadly, annoyed locals were poisoning the strays. The Border Animal Rescue capture them, take them to local vets and for a discounted price are sterilized then repopulated back where they were living. At least sterilzed, that can’t continue to populate.
