Earlier this summer, we posted a distressing blog about a customer’s lost cat, Winslow. It was such a sad story. The little guy is very shy. Though a home-remodeling project was carefully planned with Winslow and his brother Harley to be relocated away from a construction area, it didn’t work out that way. When human, Wendee got home from work that day, Winslow as long-gone! It was just a pitiful situation; Wendee spending weeks with helping friends, trying to find Winslow. All-the-while, she was waiting a Lotus cat tree to be delivered. We discovered Winslow’s plight, when we notified Wendee that their new cat furniture had been shipped. 19 horrific days, Wendee trying not to give up hope but things looked pretty hopeless. We posted a “Lost Cat” blog, knowing that was probably a futile attempt to help, but you never know! Amazingly, the little guy was found locked in the neighbor’s cellar – alone in the dark without food or water. Initially, very frightened but after a couple of days of care at the vet’s, he came home to a joyful reunion with his brother, Harley. He’d lost weight, but otherwise in great condition. Wendee said that the experienced changed them all, but especially Winslow. Once timid and skittish, his adverture as brought out the “bold beast” in him! :|: Winslow on “top bunk” cat perch.
